Founded in 1997 by distinguished interior designer Ron Renner, Certified Interior Decorators International (C.I.D.) is dedicated to individuals who have the talent and seek educational training and the required testing to become recognized as "Certified" professionals in the interior decorating industry. In the early 90's Mr. Renner conceived the idea and concept of "CERTIFYING" interior decorators since there was much confusion at that time about the difference between designers and decorators and the educational requirements for either. CID became a dual purpose professional membership association and "the" certifying body to accredit and certify interior decorators for the first time in history.

As a distinguished VASSAR SHOWCASE HOUSE DESIGNER, his work has been published in House Beautiful, Home decorating Ideas, Budget Decorating, New Ideas for Decorating, Palm Beach Life, Palm Beach Illustrated, Interior Design and many other fine decorating publications. One of his recent books, "Secrets to Decorating and Moving to Florida" has been featured in over 100 newspaper articles through out the United States.

Ron Renner has also been selected by PIER 1 IMPORTS to serve on the Design Concepts Program Advisory Board and serves as advisor for PENN FOSTER Interior Decorating program.

Mr. Renner is the founder and serves as director and President of Certified Interior Decorators International, Inc. (C.I.D.), Decorator Training Institute (DTI) and Designer Templates.

Ron's artwork has been featured on the cover of Palm Beach Illustrated (January, 1993) which also featured him in a two-page article. He is listed in the ART IN AMERICA Annual Guide's and his work has been seen in ART NEWS magazines.

Born in 1940, he started painting under the influence of his parents who owned the Renner Art Center in New Jersey. Some of the artist who contributed to his style were Klee, Kandinsky, Kirschner, Miro,Picasso Picasso and Cezanne..

Although Ron started drip and splatter paintings in 1957, he had no knowledge of [Pollock] until seeing the artist work as portrayed on the cover of the Saturday Evening Post by Norman Rockwell in 1962. As a result of his disappointment in discovering another painter working tin the same style, Ron's drip painting style temporarily ended with "Splatter in Red" painted 1962.

Ron studied at the Philadelphia College of Art (1969-1973), majoring in Interior Design and Fine Arts, and also studied at Fleisher Art Memorial under abstract artist Tom Gaughan. At that time Ron decided to resume the style he independently developed in spite of Pollock's death in 1956 and fame that followed.

Artist Ron Renner is a Second Generation American Original. He currently paints in his studio located in Stuart, Florida.
